A referral is required prior to assessment. We accept referrals from the following health practitioners:

​

• Physicians

• Dentists

• Nurse Practitioners

• Physiotherapists

• Occupational Therapists

Is there a cost for our services?

All consultations and follow-up assessments at the Alberta Neurologic Centre are publicly funded through Alberta Health. There is no cost to the patient*.

*Allied Health services, uninsured services and some procedures are not covered by Alberta Health. Please inquire with our clinic for pricing details. 

 

What to expect after referral

Once we receive a referral, we will triage the referral to the appropriate appointment and doctor and provide an estimated wait time to the referring physician. Processing referrals typically takes about 5-7 business days.

How to prepare for appointment

Once you have confirmed your appointment, please arrange to be at your appointment at least 15 minutes early to get checked in and fill out a brief patient questionnaire. You will also need to bring with you your Personal Healthcare Card. For EMG/NCS appointments, it is recommended that you bring a change of clothes (ideally shorts and a tank top) and that no hand creams of body lotions are worn to your appointment.
