Dr. Collin Luk
MD, FRCPC-Neurology

Colin.jpg

Dr. Collin Luk is a born and raised Calgarian who joins us as a locum general neurologist while he completes his neuromuscular fellowship. Dr. Collin Luk completed a joint MD/PhD at the University of Calgary as part of the Leaders in Medicine program. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Alberta, followed by a two year ALS clinical research fellowship.

Collin has a strong interest in developing technology and tools to help with disease diagnosis. His initial research focused on understanding the mechanisms behind how brain connections form and developing "lab-on-a-chip" diagnostic biotechnology. His current research focuses on developing brain imaging tools to help ALS patients receive earlier diagnoses and to help guide clinical trials.

In Collin's free time, he enjoys playing badminton, browsing used vinyl stores, or taking long walks with his family.
