Dr. Rehana Murani
BSc, MD, FRCPC - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Rehana Murani was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida while competing in NCAA division one soccer. She returned to Canada in 2012 to complete her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. This was followed by a five-year specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Calgary. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC). While completing her training, she was able to continue to compete in soccer at the semi-professional level. She has obtained extra dedicated training in musculoskeletal ultrasound, one of her main interests.
Her clinical interests are focused around acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, sports and team medicine, interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, and electrodiagnostics. Dr. Murani currently holds a clinical practice both in Edmonton and in Calgary, Alberta.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, playing soccer, cooking, and golfing.
